The Coomalie Branch of COTA (NT) was established in May 2009 and is based in the Shire of Coomalie. The towns which make up the Shire include Batchelor, Adelaide River and Lake Bennett. The Shire is about an hours drive south from Darwin along the Stuart Highway.
The Branch endeavours to be a voice for all older people living in the region. The Committee is developing a programme of events and activities to cover a range of interests. The aim is to promote an active, healthy and supportive community for older people who choose to remain in the rural areas of the Top End as they age.
